Dimple Ganguly - Her smile can light up the room not in words but in reality!
I met her almost ten years ago.
Her pure soul was just as bright as it is now as she plays monster with my son. He loves her from the minute he laid his eyes on her. And I can't deny the fact that I feel so blessed to be sitting opposite her and interviewing her very inspirational life!
She is the fifth daughter! The one her parents desperately thought then to turn out as a boy. But future had something brighter in his mind.
It's mere coincidence that Dimple herself was a student at the Nalanda University, where her mother would sneak her as a kid. After her indian classic dance learning program Dimple moved into a fast forward life of college. And that is when she joined the Shiamak Dance Company better known as SDIPA.
That's where I met her first, I was her student!
And she is a teacher of the kind that not only remembers her students but also remembers the songs she taught us!
She is obviously one of my favorites and I clearly remember her smile and her ever sweet nature to help us learn something extra.
Dimple has traveled all over India and Canada with SDIPA training for over 500 classes. She gives so much credit to her Guru's and her now husband Vijay Ganguly for teaching her the importance of teamwork which is one of the most important pillars of dance.
Dimple loves dancing herself but teaching gives her a fulfilling empowerment. She believes in herself as a taskmaster. And proves herself when she learnt ballet from the 77 year old Tushna Dallas for a year in her mid-twenties.
Dimple is walking her road to success and personally training celebrities like Yami Gautam, Zareen Khan,Nidhi Agerwal for Munna Michael. And I am sure you haven't missed the famous dance videos where Dimple is dancing with Disha Patni.
Dimple is working with her husband Vijay and their joint ventures include Jagga Jasoos, Chef, Swing, Umeed and Baadshaho to name a few...
